Chenega Systems (CS) provides federal agencies empowered solutions in Cybersecurity and Data Visualization. Our Subject Matter Experts offer decades of experience working in the federal marketplace and the data visualization environment.
The Communications Security (COMSEC) Support Specialist is responsible for providing expert knowledge and support for DoD and Army COMSEC operations. This position will assist in implementing and maintaining COMSEC policies, procedures, and systems in accordance with applicable regulations.
Responsibilities
Support COMSEC management, accounting, concepts, and procedures in alignment with DoD, IC, and Army regulations
Provide technical guidance on COMSEC matters to government personnel and leadership
Assist in monitoring compliance with security policies and procedures
Contribute technical expertise to the development and revision of policies and procedures related to COMSEC, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Key Management Infrastructure (KMI), Defense Message System (DMS)/Content Addressable Web (CAW)
Perform COMSEC audits/assessments as directed
Assist in the development and delivery of COMSEC training materials
Support the lifecycle management of cryptographic equipment and materials
Liase with government personnel and external agencies on COMSEC-related matters
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science preferred
5+ years of experience in COMSEC Operations
Completion of one or more of the following courses is highly preferred:
COMSEC Inspector Certification Course
Management Client Course
Active TS/SCI clearance required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated knowledge of DoD, IC, and Army COMSEC policies and procedures
Experience with PKI, KMI, and DMS/CAW systems
