Chenega Corporation Middleware Engineer in Washington, District Of Columbia
NJVC is currently looking for a talented Middleware Engineer ! As a Middleware Engineer , you will be integrated with Server, DB, and other teams and partners to deliver available and reliable infrastructure applications support for DOT’s application solutions.
Provide solutions to middleware problems while coordinating with other subject-matter experts
Server administration as related to middleware applications
Understand and apply Network skills (e.g., TCP/IP, port mapping, routing, DNS masking)
Understanding of Oracle and SQL databases in physical and cloud environments as consumed and manipulated by middleware applications
Other duties as assigned
BA/BS with 5+ years of related experience providing business solutions engineering support. Experience be used in lieu of a degree
Experience providing business solutions engineering support, including architectural design, engineering design, proof-of-concept development, pilots, analysis, results, and documentation
Possess experience with one or more of the following:
Apache tomcat, Webserver, Oracle application server, Oracle SOA suite, PHP, Python, IBM Infosphere, node.js, Microsoft .NET framework, Microsoft IIS, and Redhat JBOSS application platform
Active Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or equivalent
Background check and the ability to obtain a public trust

Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting
Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment

Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others
Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications
Experience working in a home office setting as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues
Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone with good phone skills and a professional demeanor
Previous customer service experience strongly desired
Good problem-solving skills with the ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it.
