Company Job Title: IT Specialist I

Reports To: Program Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt, Full Time, Regular


The IT Specialist I is responsible for performing analysis of business and user needs and documents requirements. The IT Specialist I will develop and define systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with working knowledge of business systems and industry requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use/Administer eCPIC / Folio.

  • Troubleshoot issues that arise with the portfolio management toolset.

  • Develop customized system workflows and processes to streamline manual processes.

  • Develop and deliver custom reports.

  • Maintain SharePoint/Google site(s).

  • Visualize data in Tableau.

  • Document requirements, business rules and processes, functional and technical specifications and operating procedures.

  • Software development and database support.

  • Develop user and functional requirements.

  • Develop data dictionary.

  • Develop entity relationship diagram for database.

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline or relevant functional area to include:

  • Finance and Accounting

  • Human Resources

  • Business Administration

  • Liberal Arts

  • 5 years of relevant experience to include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Using/administering eCPIC / Folio

  • Troubleshooting issues that arise with the portfolio management toolset

  • Developing customized system workflows/processes to streamline manual processes

  • Developing and delivering custom reports

  • Maintaining SharePoint/Google site(s)

  • Visualizing data in Tableau

  • Documenting requirements, business rules & processes, functional/technical specifications & operating procedures

  • Supporting software development and databases

  • Developing user and functional requirements

  • Developing data dictionary

  • D eveloping entity relationship diagram for database

  • U sing Microsoft365

  • Public Trust with Background Investigation

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to be a self-starter, pay strict attention to detail, and multi-task across multiple projects and clients in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must possess the ability to multi-task and prioritize.

  • Ability to work nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.

  • Proven technical aptitude and a desire to learn is a must.

  • Excellent verbal/written communication, organizational skills.

  • Interpersonal skills and ability to excel as part of a team.

  • The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.

  • During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
