The Enterprise Architecture Lead is responsible for providing lead strategy and design for projects. Applies process improvement and reengineering methodologies and principles to conduct process modernization projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Activity and data modeling, develop modern business methods, identify best practices and create and assess performance measurements.
Provide group leadership and facilitation, interview, and train and provide additional forms of knowledge transfer in support of project design, development and implementation.
Develop and/or review architectural documents for IT investments to assess compliance with Federal requirements and determine effectiveness in meeting performance goals.
Perform Analysis of Alternatives.
Support strategic IT acquisition planning including requirements gathering and market research.
Support business process reengineering (specific methodologies defined at the call order level)
Assist in development of policies/memos/directives related to Enterprise Architecture (EA)
Facilitate the development of IT goals, objectives, and performance measures that align with DOI’s mission, goals, and objectives (the Program helps to link goals and objectives to DOI’s organizational priorities)
Identify and track metrics to measure the value of EA.
IT Standards Management – collaborate with other stakeholders in order to facilitate:
Establishing Policies and Guidance
Establishing a Baseline of Existing Standards
Developing and Implementing a Deployment Strategy
Develop and maintain reference models and update current and future architecture views.
Comply with Federal EA reporting requirements.
Manage the IT Application Inventory.
Manage the Application Rationalization process.
Provide training on EA related topics.
Assess the business and technical fit of the investments in the IT portfolio.
Participate in EA related working groups/Communities of Practice.
Support ad hoc and emerging General Accountability Office (GAO) and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) requirements.

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
8 years' Enterprise Architecture experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to be a self-starter, pay strict attention to detail, and multi-task across multiple projects and clients in a fast-paced environment.
Must possess the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Ability to work nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.
Proven technical aptitude and a desire to learn is a must.
Excellent verbal/written communication, organizational skills.
Interpersonal skills and ability to excel as part of a team.
