Chenega Corporation Deputy Construction Manager/Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) in Greece

Summary

The Deputy Construction Manager (DCM)/QA/QC provides project development, management, and oversight of assigned project(s) and staff in Greece. The DCM/QA/QC provides on-site management of all work efforts associated with the construction of new or modification of existing secure storage and simulator training facilities, including Electronic Security Systems (ESS) and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS). The DCM/QA/QC management duties include at a minimum, planning, scheduling, resource and cost management, preparation of reports and deliverables, establishing and maintaining records, and quality control.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for meeting all technical and contractual requirements of the procurement, delivery, installation, configuration, testing, operating, and turnover of secure storage and simulator training facilities building systems, including all utilities, security equipment, all furnishings, and fixtures.

  • Responsible for performing as the primary technical and managerial interface with the Greek Air Force, USAF representative, the Contracting Officer (CO), and Contracting Officer Representative (COR).

  • Responsible for the supervision, technical guidance, effective utilization, and deliverables completed by staff.

  • Responsible for maintaining a quality control program in accordance with the contract’s Quality Control Plan, assuring system installation and testing meet requirements.

  • Responsible for creating and submitting progress reports that address the status of activities for various aspects of the contract.

  • Responsible for submitting weekly reports to the client’s representative(s).

  • Responsible for the installation, testing, and verification of all facility systems.

  • Responsible for verifying network proficiency, managing equipment warranty programs, operating, and maintaining facility’s equipment and control systems, and responding to service requests.

  • Responsible for developing work plans to coincide with concurrent (by others) building construction schedule.

  • Responsible for coordinating all activities with Greek Air Force, USAF representative, the CO and COR, and other entities associated with the buildings and planned works.

  • Responsible for acting with full authority on all contract matters relating to daily operations.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or program/project management or equivalent

  • 10+ years of experience in engineering, construction, program management, or a related field

  • Experience in Secure Facility Certification

  • Experience working with translators and foreign nationals

  • Final secret clearance required, no dual citizenship

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS

  • Ability to reside and work at OCONUS locations 100% of the time

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word required

  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project desired

  • OCONUS travel work experience preferred

  • Knowledge of computer-based facilities management software desired
