NJVC approaches the work with the intensity expected of a mission-critical IT provider, working within the framework of people, processes, and technologies to meet customer requirements.
This is a GIS Software Engineer position on the Sustainment Analysis Services (SAS) contract. SAS provides sustainment support for selected NGA legacy exploitation software applications. Application transitions and sustainment are performed within a SAFe AGILE methodology. GIS Software Engineers on the SAS scrum teams need to be versatile and flexible with the tasks they work on. The GIS Software Engineer must be self-motivated and work well within a team. As the contract takes over sustainment for many systems, the roles and responsibilities will be quickly changing.
Responsibilities
Manage customer data endpoints and assist with data publishing.
Troubleshoot problems with the AGCMS content to support customer issues and review, correct, update, and maintain data as needed.
Influence the development of solutions that impact strategic project/program goals and business results.
Lead and manage the work of other technical staff.
Ensure content management practices, technology, and data structure meet internal or external customer requirements.
Provide data guidance to maintain data currency and adherence to standards, develops workflows, implement system modifications, and oversee daily system management to ensure customer access and continuous operations.
Replicate data changes between cloud and location-based servers to reduce data access latency and maintain currency across all data nodes.
Provide support on both Windows and Linux across 3 security domains - Unclassified Commercial Cloud Services (C2S), UC2S; Secret C2S, SC2S; and Top Secret C2S, TC2
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of experience OR
Master’s Degree with 10+ years of experience
Demonstrated technical skills in data management and working knowledge of Geospatial Information Systems (GIS).
Experience with ArcGIS Server to create and manage GIS Web services, applications, and data.
Experience with GeoServer to share, process, and edit geospatial data.
Familiarity with Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) standards-based web services such as Web Map Service (WMS), Web Coverage Service (WCS), Web Feature Service (WFS), Web Processing Service (WPS), and Web Map Tile Service (WMTS).
Experience with Amazon Commercial Cloud Services (C2S).
Excellent communication skills that will be utilized to inform members of the Intelligence Community.
Current TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Polygraph

Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting.
Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals.
Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.
Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications.
Experience working in a home office setting as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.
Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone with good phone skills and a professional demeanor.
Previous customer service experience strongly desired.
Good problem-solving skills with the ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it.
