The System Engineer, Senior will apply laws, policies, directives, and guidance to acquisitions throughout the total life-cycle. The System Engineer, Senior provides systems engineering (SE) support to assess and oversee the technical requirements, design, development, and implementation for those systems under the purview of the Marine Corp Recruiting Command (MCRC).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct requirements analysis, design, development, performance measurement, verification and validation, certification and accreditation, deployment, change management, and transition by applying a broad and deep set of engineering expertise.
Conduct analysis of various database structures and links and develop singular or multiple databases capable of populating data to meet the contractual needs of the US Marine Corps MCRISS program.
Perform data migration from various client databases into a consolidated database.
Analyze functional business applications and design specifications for functional activities.
Employ knowledge of client-server and internet systems architectures
Support contract procurement planning, solicitation, award, and monitoring activities.

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
Bachelor’s Degree required with 5 years of experience with systems engineering support, including:
Other program support.
Additional experience may be used in lieu of a degree.
3 years’ experience at installing, configuring, and integrating Cisco Firepower Threat Defense and associated software with F5 BIG-IP devices in a hybrid cloud environment.
Possess demonstrated work experience with more than one relational database management system.
Valid DoD 8570/8140 IAT II or IAM II certificate.
Ability to obtain Secret Clearance
Secret Clearance preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to meet security clearance requirements
3 years (preferred) experience with database development.
1 years’ experience with Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, and Steel Cloud highly preferred.
US Navy networking experience preferred.
Broad and deep set of engineering expertise.
Possess significant knowledge and experience with database procedure languages: MySQL, T-SQL, etc.
Understand complex database concepts as well as the implications of different database designs
Strong communications skills (both written and oral)
Strong customer service and excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to listen and understand what is being described by the end user as well as the ability to explain problem resolutions when necessary.
Ability to work independently without direct supervision or guidance.
Ability to occasionally work after hours and/or on-call support.
