Chenega Corporation Systems Administrator - Journeyman in St Louis, Missouri
Summary
The System Administrator Journeyman will be part of an integrated Operations & Sustainment team that provides critical mission support to a DOD customer. The System Administrator Journeyman will interface with other engineers co-located, as well as located at other agency facilities
Responsibilities
Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of systems
Isolate and resolve problems involving the applications, operating system, hardware, communications, other infrastructure, or any combination as needed
Hand-off problem reports to appropriate leads like Amazon/C2S, NGA-ESC, etc.
Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
Installs/loads operating system and application software
Isolate and resolve hardware and software problems involving the applications, operating system, hardware, communications infrastructure, or any combination of these
Troubleshoot, maintain the integrity, and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
Integrate new technologies into new and existing systems including the transition and migration of corporate systems
Perform in a hybrid cloud environment
Demonstrate experience with building unclassified, integrating, testing, and deploying classified environments on multiple security domains
Deploy to multiple security domains, ensure SW baselines are consistent across multiple environments, support data staging/loading activities for test events, data migration
Build out of new hybrid cloud instances (VMs, Storage)
Provide metrics reporting/Dashboards on O&S status
Demonstrate experience with integration and deployment of multiple baselines to support internal and Test Organization (IV&V) testing, resolving DRs (Pri 1 and 2) and incorporating fixes in a quick and timely manner
Use the following tools: GitLab, Service +, Git Repositories, JIRA, Confluence

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years experience or
Associates degree and 4+ years experience, or
High school degree and 6+ years experience in a related field
SA experience with building unclassified, integrating, testing, and deploying classified environments on multiple security domains
SA experience with integration and deployment of multiple baselines to support internal and Test Organization (IV&V) testing, resolving DRs (Pri 1 and 2), and incorporating fixes in a quick and timely manner
Strong understanding of Linux
Experience with Tier 1-4 support with NGA ESC and PSOC to include troubleshooting with customers
Experience with Cloud deployments, AWS maintenance, Cloud storage metrics, and cost savings with cloud infrastructure
Experience with writing SOPs
Active TS/SCI Clearance

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Team is 24x7 and this position is a day shift but will require weekend and holiday support as needed
Knowledge of AWS ( Certification preferred)
Knowledge of GEOint
QA experience for developers
Knowledge of deploying
Knowledge of VM storage and server experience
Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting
Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals
Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.
Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, and experience working in a home office setting as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.
Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone; good phone skills, professional demeanor, and previous customer service experience strongly desired.
Good problem-solving skills; ability to visualize a problem/situation and think abstractly to solve it
