Chenega Corporation Sr. Configuration Management Specialist in St Louis, Missouri
Summary
The Sr. Configuration Management Specialist (CM) will provide configuration management services to maintain technical and functional information about baseline items located in St. Louis, MO.
Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for configuration management (CM) of systems
Identify configuration items, implement change control, configure status accounting, and configure audits
Work on teams to create and maintain software, hardware, and documentation configuration baselines (development, test, production, etc.)
Develop or modify CM plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the complexity and scope of the developmental or operational system
Implement CM discipline for the entire life cycle of systems from initial requirements and capabilities baselines to system end-of-life
Regulate the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software, licenses, media, and other IT assets
Ensure that all changes to the baselines go through appropriate change boards
Track all problems and changes in product documents/software and reports changes, control standard operating procedures and current configurations
Use or recommend automated CM tools to implement CM policies and procedures
Engage in supervisory responsibilities
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
Bachelor's degree and 6+ years relevant experience OR
Associate degree and 8+ years relevant experience OR
10+ years relevant experience
Years of relevant work experience include:
Operational experience with ServiceNow
Experience in the Intelligence Community
DoD 8140 (formerly 8570.01-M), IAT Level II: Security+ CE Certification required
TS/SCI clearance
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting
Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals
Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.
Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, and other applications)
Experience working in a home office setting
Ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues
Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone
Good phone skills, professional demeanor, and previous customer service experience strongly desired
Good problem-solving skills with the ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it
