Chenega Corporation Product Owner in St Louis, Missouri

Summary

The NJVC Spatial Solutions Division has an opening for an Agile Product Owner to join our team responsible for the integration, operations, and sustainment of various operational and in-development systems. This position will manage a team made up of DevOps, systems engineers, systems administrators, and testers tasked to deliver the next generation of Geospatial Intelligence technologies to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Drive product delivery through a keen understanding of the customer, mission, and product requirements

  • Develop the team roadmap and support the team as needed to deliver on commitments

  • Plan and prioritize epics, features, stories, and bugs

  • Proven ability to write technical tasks with business value for the customer

  • Help define, document, and track the completion of Epics, Stories, Tasks, and Bugs

  • Communicate with other Product owners and scrum masters, program leadership, customers, and development teams

  • Support agile meetings such as daily scrum, retrospectives, and program increment planning

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • BS degree and 12+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 years of prior relevant experience; OR 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree

  • Active Top-Secret Clearance

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance

  • Desired SAFe Agile Certification

  • Desired 2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master

  • Desired Certified Product Owner

  • Desired Certified Scrum Master

  • Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting

  • Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals

  • Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.

  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, and experience working in a home office setting as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.

  • Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone; good phone skills, professional demeanor, and previous customer service experience strongly desired.

  • Good problem-solving skills; ability to visualize a problem/situation and think abstractly to solve it
