The Web Developer be supporting the Office of Counterintelligence (SIC) SCOPE development and will be supporting and developing customer requirements at NGA location.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, integrate, and maintain complex and diverse software systems, to include but not limited to the System for Counterintelligence Operations and Execution (SCOPE), in support of the SIC counterintelligence (CI) mission provided by SIC leadership
Design, implement, and integrate software applications or perform software engineering tasks for various SIC applications
Provide recommendations to SIC for the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of COTS/GOTS in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
Recommend and build software solutions to support SIC needs. These needs include, but are not limited to:
Tracking method for the issuance of CI badges and CI credentials
Tracking method for the assignment of taskers from NGERTS, e-mail, and word-of mouth
Tracking method for the training development records of SIC personnel
Customized dashboard capabilities that provide SIC personnel and leadership insight into daily task progress
Filter-based metrics gathering and visualization method to reflect SIC task completion over a selected duration
Utilize software engineering and design methodologies, appropriate to the development, integration, and production environment
Mitigate risks, control costs and schedule variance, and effectively manage large scale, integrated software projects
Perform or participate in NGA security testing with cio-T to validate the effective implementation of security controls over time
Perform liaison activities to schedule and execute upgrades and Enterprise maintenance to SIC information systems or software supported by CIO-T, where applicable
Perform liaison activities with CIO-T's Corporate Applications team for the integration of applicable PeopleSoft data into accredited SIC systems in support of CI activities
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
High school diploma/GED required
6 years' experience in the following:
Building databases or applications to allow for the analysis of relations between seemingly unrelated datasets
Prior experience supporting Counterintelligence (CI) organizations
TS/SCI with ability to obtain CI Poly clearance required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to obtain CI Poly
Knowledge of the PeopleSoft database
Knowledge of Web Application Development Frame
Knowledge of requirements for the protection of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in information systems
Knowledge of ICD 503 security testing for the integration of developed software
Strong working knowledge of NGA concepts and practices with regards to software development, integration, operations and maintenance
Self-motivated and able to manage and prioritize multiple projects
Ability to handle frequent feedback
Ability to thrive in a team environment, communicate effectively, and work well under pressure
Ability to write and maintain web applications
Ability to build various data processing applications to capture, search, share, store, transfer, visualize, query, and update information
Ability to analyze root causes and resolves issues with applications and information systems
Ability to use documented requirements to develop, integrate, and maintain complex and diverse software systems using processing-intensive analytics, algorithm development, and the real-time transfer of information between databases or information systems.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Ability to understand, track, drill-down and questions activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based on that data
Ability to travel as required
Ability to work nights, weekends, and Holidays as required
