Chenega Corporation Senior DevOps Engineer in Robins AFB, Georgia
The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for working with developers to facilitate better coordination among operations, development, and testing functions by automating and streamlining the integration and deployment processes. The Senior DevOps Engineer will work with software developers, system operators (sysop), and other production IT staff, to verse code releases.
Design and build automated processes maintaining reproducibility, auditability, and traceability information for deployment, monitoring, and operations.
Provide customized continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) solutions which are fully compliant with ITIL change, incident, and configuration management processes.
Advise on technologies and tools to support development and test environments.
Implement/manage production software build and test environments.
Test, build, design, deploy, and can maintain CI/CD processes.
Work in close coordination with the development and operations team(s) such that the application is in line with performance according to the customer's expectation.
Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant technology experience with the following:
Solution architecture and project/account management
Linux or Windows experience with infrastructure automation tools
Programming languages, like Python, Go, or Bash
CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis, Gitlab CI)
Different cloud service models (e.g., IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Serverless)
Background check required with the ability to obtain a secret clearance

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience with the following preferred:
Container technology and microservices
Deployment/configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, puppet, chef, Salt)
Monitoring/Logging/Performance Analytics (e.g., Logstash/Kibana, Datadog, Splunk, Fluentd)
Operating fault-tolerant distributed systems (e.g., Redundancy, Availability Zones, Data Reliability)
SQL and know SQL database technologies, like PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, or Cassandra
AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or equivalent technologies
Linux or Windows System Administration Knowledge (e.g., server administration, internals, package management)
Strong communications skills, both written and oral, strong customer service, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to listen and understand what is being described by the end user as well as the ability to explain problem resolutions when necessary.
Should be well-versed in working within teams.
Working in regulation with industry-standard best practices in close coordination with integration and deployment team(s).
Ability to work independently without direct supervision or guidance.
Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and multi-task.
Must have the ability to travel to different work locations, as needed.
