NJVC is glad to be supporting the Foundation Sustainment Services (FS2) contract that will establish the acquisition framework for delivering the full scope of information technology services and capabilities to support the Information Technology (IT) sustainment services for the Foundation GEOINT Integrated Program Office (IPF) and the FG capabilities/services in support of the NGA’s Source Operations & Management Directorate’s Foundation GEOINT Group (SF).
Responsibilities
Work you’ll do
As a Database Adminstrator within our FS2 team, you will:
Support Oracle database migration from on-premise to AWS Cloud leveraging RDS managed service.
Support the analysis and evaluation of system improvements, optimization, development, and/or maintenance efforts.
Evaluation will include feasibility studies of Oracle vs Postgres database options across cloud system architectures.
Evaluation will include Subject Matter Expertise (SME) level input to lead Engineering studies as to the pros and cons each of proposed solution.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline w/ 4+ years of relevant experience or Master’s Degree in a related discipline w/ 2+ years. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience maintaining operational Oracle databases for mission-critical systems.
Experience scripting for views, functions, and queries.
Experience query tuning for database optimization.
Experience with cloud-first, AWS native architectures, and RDS managed service in particular
Prior experience using Oracle SQL/PLSQL, and SQL in general.
Previous experience scripting with Bash/Linux shell scripting.
Top Secret Clearance required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance
Understanding of databases, primarily Oracle and/or other relational and non-relational/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
Knowledge of complex application integration
