Chenega Corporation Telecommunications Engineer/Analyst - Intermediate in Natick, Massachusetts
Summary
The Telecommunications Engineer/Analyst - Intermediate will design, integrate, and implement telecommunications, data communications-structured transport systems, and related infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Promptly respond to Remedy tickets assigned for network and voice incidents.
Proactively monitor network SNMP and NETFLOW data to minimize outages.
Analyze weekly ACAS scanning results and coordinate necessary remediation tasks.
Review and update network and telecommunications documentation for accurate continuity.
Manage quality assurance testing procedures on new products as well as existing hardware.
Manage VoIP DHCP scopes.
Utilize programs and software, like Cisco Unified Communications Manager or other unified communication suite programs, to provide Central Office switch features, (e.g., call forwarding, call transfers, ad hoc conference, voicemail adds/changes, caller ID, and others if the phone supports).
Coordinate with senior network personnel for all network and voice adds, moves, and changes.
Enhance customer reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to the customer.
Maintain and track network hardware inventory.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field
Combination of experience and applicable technical certification may be used in lieu of education with 4+ years of direct relevant experience
Experience in the use of advanced features of Microsoft Excel
Possess Baseline and Full Computing Environment certifications for IAT-II IAW DoD 8570.01-M and BBP 05-PR-M-0002
Acceptable certifications include Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GICSP, CND, or SSCP
Possess and maintain a valid state operator's license
Must have Cisco certification
Secret clearance with NACLC required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Desired application experience: Cisco CUCM/Unity, Cisco ACS/ISE.
Desired certification: CCNA Collaboration.
Ability to occasionally work after hours. nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Ability to communicate professionally through all types of media with associates, management, contractors, and vendors (both written and oral).
Strong communications skills (both written and oral), strong customer service and excellent interpersonal skills, ability to listen and understand what is being described by the end-user as well as the ability to explain problem resolutions when necessary.
Ability to meet minimum security clearance requirements.
