Chenega Corporation Maintenance Service Representative in Lorton, Virginia

Summary

Executive Order 13495, The Non Displacement of Qualified Workers Under Service Contracts provide first right of refusal to incumbents on contracts. If the position is accepted by the incumbent on the job, other application/resume of non-incumbents will not be reviewed.

The Maintenance Service Representative receives and records Maintenance and Repair (M&R) activities on systems/equipment deployed and fielded. The Maintenance Service Representative will coordinate, monitor, escalate, and report maintenance status and operational readiness of systems in the field. The Maintenance Service Representative Interacts directly with the Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) officers and agents in the field, to respond to customers’ requests for service. The Maintenance Service Representative will be required to work shift work that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in Maintenance and Repair (M&R) activities on systems/equipment once deployed and accepted.

  • Coordinate, monitor, escalate, and report on the maintenance status and operational readiness of systems in the field.

  • Interact directly with the CBP officers, agents, and personnel in the field, to respond to requests for repair status and track outages.

  • Reach out to vendors for repair status and escalate system/equipment issues to maintenance management.

  • Participate in Acquisition Program events, meetings, IPTs, and workshops in Washington, D.C., Arlington, Virginia, and other designated various planned off-sites.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • 2+ years’ experience in a general help desk or customer service position and logistics support.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

  • Must pass a CBP background investigation.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Associate degree preferred.

  • Experience with Non-Intrusion Inspection equipment is a plus.

  • Maximo experience is a plus.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, i.e. Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.

  • Strong oral and written communications skills.

  • Strong organizational and planning skills.

  • Must have attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work shift work that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.

  • During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
