Chenega Corporation Asset Management Technician in Lorton, Virginia
The Asset Management Technician will coordinate the management of asset record data to ensure correctness and continuity between systems. The Asset Management Technician will validate accurate inventory data and verify inventories are maintained correctly between the Program Office and Field Offices. The Asset Management Technician will assist with periodic physical inventories and data inputs into the required DHS data systems and inspect arriving hand-held equipment to verify functionality.
Assignments require: (a) a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines; (b) an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced; and (c) analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts
The Asset Management Technician may conduct special projects related to individual equipment types. The Asset Management Technician works independently under overall project objectives and requirements and apprises supervisor about progress and unusual complications. Guidelines usually include existing systems and the constraints imposed by related systems of record with which the incumbent's work must be synchronized.
Enter and update complettion and/or correction of asset records.
Generate property transfers within the application of record.
Monitor and manage assets within the SAP cost center belonging to the NII program.
Coordinate directly with the Program Office and Field Offices on the transfer of asset records.
Communicate directly with the Program Property Office to coordinate the creation of bulk entry of asset records and resolve asset management issues that may arise.
Enter, update, and/or correct maintenance work orders and complete reports or export data from systems of record or other system required by the customer.
Inspect and verify functionality of newly procured and delivered hand-held equipment.
Other duties as assigned
High school diploma or GED required
Relevant experience in providing logistics support.
Must have a valid Driver’s License.
CBP Background Investigation required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
2+ years of relevant experience in providing logistics support preferred.
Maximo and/or Systems Application and Products (SAP) experience is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, i.e. Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Must have attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to self-direct and prioritize in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
