Chenega Corporation Asset Management Technician in Lorton, Virginia

The Asset Management Technician will coordinate the processing of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, receiving reports, and inventory requisition. The Asset Management Technician will validate accurate inventory data for purchasing decisions and verify inventories are maintained at optimum levels to prevent under-or-over investment. Assist with periodic physical inventories and data inputs into the required DHS data systems.
Supervise and coordinate the appropriate processing of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, receiving reports, and inventory requisitions applicable to items maintained.
Oversee the accurate, current inventory data for purchasing decisions.
Maintain inventories at optimum levels to prevent under-or-over investment in inventory.
Supervise and coordinate periodic physical inventories.
Oversee work performed by support personnel.
Oversee data inputs into the required DHS data systems.
Other duties as assigned
2+ years of relevant experience in providing logistics support.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Must pass a CBP background investigation.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Systems Application and Products (SAP) experience is preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, i.e. Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.
Maximo experience is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Must have attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to self-direct and prioritize in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
