Chenega Corporation Material Coordinator in Jacksonville, Florida

Summary

The Material Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of materials (ordering, receipt, and delivery) in support of the FRCSE program.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and expedite flow of equipment, materials, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules or department supervisors' priorities.

  • Review production schedules and confer with department supervisors to determine material required or overdue and to locate material, and requisitions material and establish delivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities and anticipated availability of material.

  • Arrange for in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules and with department supervisors for repair and assembly of material and its transportation to various departments.

  • Examine material delivered to production departments to verify if type specified.

  • Monitor and control movement of material and equipment used within each program.

  • Identify transport and return equipment due for calibration and periodic maintenance.

  • Transport equipment between support and production shops, warehouses, and storage.

  • Compile perpetual production records to locate material in process of production list of duties

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 1+ years of experience in a warehouse, logistical, or similar environment.

  • Possess a valid driver’s license.

  • Background check required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of product and manufacturing processes.

  • Have working knowledge of shop safety practices and standards.

  • Ability to communicate the English language verbally and in written communications.

  • Basic computer skills, including internet, Microsoft Office, and email.

  • Familiarity with web-based procurement software a plus.

  • Ability to qualify for licensing on various types of Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
