Awarded in August 2021 to the Parsons Team, the TEAMS next Missile Defense Systems Engineering contract has a three-year base period plus four one-year options that should take the period of performance through the end of 2028 into 2029. The primary purpose of this contract is to provide outstanding systems engineering services vital for MDA mission success at multiple locations around the world. Venturi, LLC, a Chenega company, has an exciting career opportunity for a Radar Test Engineer who will play an important role supporting Missile Defense Agencys on the TEAMS Next Missile Defense Systems Engineering contract. The Radar Test Engineer will test and validate state of the art Missile Defense Sensors.
Work you’ll do
As a Radar Test Engineer within our TEAMS Next Missile Defense Systems Engineering team, you will:
Perform test requirements development and analysis
Provide Systems Engineering expertise and knowledge
Provide Systems Engineering analysis and process management
Provide independent technical and programmatic assessment
Provide risk analysis and mitigation development
Identify, analyze, and document system, design, interface, assessment, and validation/verification requirements to include risk assessments
Collaborate across the MDA organization (including multinational exchanges)
Present technical information to MDA Leadership at various levels
BS in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math
3+ years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program/project
Knowledge and application of phased array radar theory, function, and design Secret Clearance or higher required
Work independently, applying engineering rigor to analyze and resolve problems within a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Ability to identify, analyze, and document system, design, interface, assessment, and validation/verification requirements to include risk assessments
Experience implementing systems engineering "V" processes
Ability to self-manage and initiate within team structure
Ability to decompose complex problems to actionable elements
Ability to work across organizational boundaries
Ability presenting complex information and concepts to leaders at various levels
Proficient with Microsoft Office® applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Working knowledge of MDA Systems Engineering processes and procedures
Working knowledge of MDA organizational structure
Working knowledge of Missile Defense System (MDS) architecture and concepts
