Quality Control Supervisor

Venturi, LLC is currently seeking talented individuals to add to our Talent Network.

Summary: TheQuality Control Supervisor (QCS) will be certified as a quality control inspector for the services provided in the contract. TheQCS is a critical part of the management team of the Contractor. Services that require higher level signature shall be provided to theQCS and theQCS will randomly and regularly schedule QC inspections of all work areas, contractor personnel, equipment and materials as applicable. QC reports shall be provided monthly to the Program Manager for submission for Program Management reviews.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure inspections conform to the Quality Control Plan, meet OSHA and EPA standards, as well as industry standards for Quality Control.

  • Supervise employees, schedules, and day-to-day operations within the QC Office

  • Administer management and control of QC inspections

  • Supervise the selection, workflow, training, and development of staff

  • Achieve quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews

  • Prepare and complete action plans

  • Implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards

  • Identify and resolve problems

  • Complete audits

  • Determine system improvements

  • Implement change

  • Develop quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analyses

  • Identify critical control points and preventive measures

  • Establish critical limits, monitor procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures

  • Monitor inventories

  • Validate quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes

  • Measure production

  • Document evidence

  • Determine operational and performance qualification

  • Write and update quality assurance procedures

  • Maintain and improve product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits

  • Investigate customer complaints

  • Collaborate with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods

  • Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations;

  • Update job knowledge by studying trends in and developments in quality management

  • Participate in educational opportunities

  • Develop and implement quality assurance programs to meet production standards and customer requirements

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years supervisory experience preferably in Quality Control or Quality Assurance or as a QC inspector and supervisor.and knowledgeable in all aspects of quality control

  • In lieu of education requirement, 5+ years experience as a Quality Control or Quality Assurance Supervisor

  • 5+ years of experience as a QC supervisor and credentialed in accordance with the American Society for Quality (ASQ) or similar governing body.

  • Certified in OSHA work environmental standards, safety and accident prevention assessments, and spill containment procedures.

  • US Government Top Secret Security Clearance;

  • If required, be able to successfully complete a counterintelligence-based polygraph examination.
