Venturi, LLC A Chenega Company has a challenging and interesting opportunity for a Loading Dock Technician on our Field Activity Support Services (FASS) contract. On FASS, Venturi's Loading Dock Technicians, General Maintenanace Workers, and Building Managers provide a wide range of physical plant services (shipping and receiving, painting and drywall, electrical box construction for cubicles and offices, etc.) vital to the smooth and safe operation of over 2.4 million square feet of office space for Missile Defense Agency. This team works hard to ensure a safe work environment that is seamless to the thousands of employees who support the critical national security mission of the Agency.


The Loading Dock Technician will provide and operate, in a cost effective manner, the assets (property, administrative facilities, infrastructure, and services) necessary to support the MDA mission, while enhancing the safety and quality of the workplace environment.

  • Provide loading dock support at designated facilities including shipping and receiving requirements. The employee shall be responsible for maintaining temporary storage and inventory tracking. Loading dock personnel shall maintain records of all shipping and receiving activities. All personnel performing this function must be trained in the operation of material handling and material loading equipment.

  • Loading dock personnel shall be responsible for:

  • Warehousing, shipping and receiving, administrative property management, receiving expendable and non-expendable equipment and supplies

  • Storage management (long and short term)

  • Packaging and shipping operations

  • Issue and release of supplies and equipment

  • Move/relocation and delivery support

  • Other duties as assigned


  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

  • Experience: Proven maintenance experience

  • Background check required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong organizational and follow up skills with an eye for detail

  • Professional presentation and attitude

  • Ability to maintain focus while working individually

  • Organized with good planning and problem solving skills

  • Good customer/people skills and commincation ability

  • Detailed reporting and records keeping

  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance

  • Ability to work nights, weekends and Holiday as required
