C++ and Linux Software Developer

TheC++ and Linux Software Developer will research, design, develop, or test software and software related systems for military or scientific use employing knowledge of software design methods.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, test, and deliver specific software functionality in support of government requirements.
Coordinate with Service Program offices to ensure developed software meets their requirements.
Contribute to testing activities, including writing test plans, executing tests, regression testing, performance testing, and integration testing, etc.
Contribute to improving the overall quality of our software development processes and practices.
Provide estimation of product development efforts.
Resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.
Serve as a Project Lead within the Program Office and customer organization.
Support coordination on all aspects of software development, testing, acceptance, and support for multiple projects.
Follow published policies and regulations.
Supervisory: May be required to provide daily supervision in compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable laws, including employee recruiting, development, and retention.

Qualifications:
Relevant BS/BA and 3+ years of relevant experience OR
AA/AS and 7+ years of relevant experience OR
High school diploma or GED and 9+ years of relevant experience
Background check required with the ability to obtain an interim secret clearance followed by a full secret clearance, to continue employment, is required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of writing and executing software test cases.
Knowledge of scripting languages.
Knowledge of test automation.
Knowledge of automated unit testing frameworks.
Knowledge working with databases using SQL queries.
Development knowledge with .Net and Visual Studio IDE.
Java, C+, C++, and C# programming knowledge.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the software development industry.
Ability to work with large and complex data sets.
Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server and Team Foundation Server.
Ability to travel 15-30% to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
