The Cyber Security Specialist II will analyze and design Information Technology and Network system training modules for DoD and USAF users using an Instructional System Design framework to develop eLearning content. The Cyber Security Specialist II will also interview Subject Matter Experts (SME) to identify target audience, formulate lesson objectives, and design storyboards to meet established objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyze government procured IT and Network systems, and applications for training development
Interview and collaborate with SMEs, graphics specialists, and Courseware Developers to design IT and Network training modules
Lead the initial analysis, design, and storyboard development, while overseeing final production with a CWD Team
Review, edit and approve storyboards and training instruction using ISD methods
Support IT and Network Security team in upgrading, operating, maintaining government procured distance learning systems
Implement STIGS, SCAP scans, OS upgrades and other basic IT and Network Administrator duties as required
Support the IT Administration and Network security team to operate and maintain a distance learning system
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
High school diploma/GED required
3 years recent experience working on DoD IT and/or Network systems
Experience developing or designing training courses
Must have an IAT Security certification
Must have DoD Secret clearance
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Obtained certificates and/or formal education in the Information Technology field preferred
Working knowledge of DoD Information and Network security requirements
Ability to assess and understand IT and Network hardware and software functions
Ability to translate SME explanations of IT and Network hardware and software functions and how the user uses the hardware and software into training lessons
Ability to communicate effectively with the customer, SMEs, graphics specialists and Courseware Developers
Ability to lead a team to produce eLearning courseware
Working knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems
Working knowledge of basic switching and routing
Ability to implement Operating System updates, patches, STIGS and SCAP scans
