Summary:

The Regional Lead will manage multiple locations of the Simulation Specialist services in support of the Army Medical Modeling and Simulation Training (AMMAST) Central Program Office (CPO).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the management, operation, and development of support services at 6 site locations.

  • Responsible for operational and financial accountability of the project.

  • Serve as liaison between the MTFD and DMMSO COR.

  • Create and track business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and conduct analysis of monthly financial and operational performance of the project to identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Coordinate site visits as needed with AMMAST CPO/DMMSO.

  • Motivate and lead a high performing team.

  • Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of key performance metrics and delivering on goals.

  • Integrate with the Joint Simulation Environment and other collaborative simulation environments as needed to support Live, Virtual, and Constructive training events with U.S. Government, U.S. military or partner nation services for the purpose of health care training and education.

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Bachelor’s degree required in computer technology, healthcare, public health, or business field required.

  • 5 years of management experience required

  • 3 years of experience in the military medical field OR 2 years’ experience with the operation of patient simulation equipment.

  • Must have the ability to pass an in-depth background check.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with Army Medical Education and simulation processes, procedures, and methodology required.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees and customers courteously and professionally.

  • Possess strong ability to oversee the overall direction and reporting requirements of a medical simulation project, product delivery schedules, and interact with diverse population of contractor and government personnel.

  • Ability to support up to 20% of local, out of state, and weekend travel as needed.

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

  • Possess excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.

  • Advanced proficiency in MS software applications including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as Internet and database applications.

  • The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.

  • During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
