Chenega Technical Innovations is currently seeking talented individuals to add to our Talent Network.This position is contingent upon contract award and government funding.

Job Title:Network Specialist IV

Clearance: Top Secret

Summary :

TheNetwork Specialist IV is responsible for a range of communication equipment and software technologies on the network.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Assists in monitoring LAN/WAN and associated communication equipment.

Performs troubleshooting procedures on equipment, corrects malfunction or refers problem to appropriate staff.

Tracks trouble calls, insuring that problems are completely resolved in a timely manner.

Utilizes available test equipment on a day-to-day basis to maintain a stable LAN/WAN communication environment.

Assists in monitoring performance of support vendor to ensure they are meeting commitments with respect to delivery of equipment or resolution of problems.

Assists in the maintenance of a database of equipment, cables and communication circuits that are terminated in a centralized location and a library of LAN cabling documentation (UTP and fiber optic) of specific LANs.

Assists in performing backup of communication pro.

Serves as a point of initial contact for user data communications problems and vendor maintenance personnel performing problem circumvention and fault isolation procedures.

Responsible for a range of data communications equipment and software technologies.

Will assist in the oversight of junior employees.

Minimum Qualifications : (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

Master’s Degree required

Must have 15+ years of work-related experience

DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certified

Requires Top Secret clearance

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

Knowledge of network equipment and operations.

Knowledge of Host level and LAN diagnostic tools.

Knowledge of various network interface commands.

Knowledge of Network Operating Systems.

Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostics skills.

Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as required.

Ability to design and maintain technical documentation.

Excellent organizational, presentation, and customer service skills.
