Chenega Corporation Sr. Avionics Engineer in Dayton, Ohio
The Sr. Avionics Engineer has knowledge of avionics engineering in support of avionics subsystem definition, development, integration, all verification methods to include review of ICD, sustainment, modeling/simulation, test and evaluation, and airworthiness certification across a wide range of hardware and software systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the avionics subsystem, development, integration, all verification methods to include review of ICD, sustainment, modeling/simulation, test and evaluation, and airworthiness certification across a wide range of hardware and software systems.
Use CNS/ATM requirements, policies, and regulations to define requirements, complete CNS/ATM compliance matrices, and support testing and certification of aircraft and supporting systems.
Review, develop, and update applicable program documentation for avionics engineering relevant requirements.
Contribute to performing analyses of avionics 45 systems and subsystems, including but not limited to;
System threat analysis
Multiplex business communications
Identify potential issues and/or areas of improvement for USG consideration.

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
Master’s degree and 10+ years of experience OR
Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of experience OR
15+ years of directly related experience
Secret Clearance required

Ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.

Customer service experience strongly desired.
Good problem-solving skills with the ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it.
