Awarded in August 2021 to the Parsons Team, the TEAMS next Missile Defense Systems Engineering contract has a three-year base period plus four one-year options that should take the period of performance through the end of 2028 into 2029. The primary purpose of this contract is to provide outstanding systems engineering services vital for MDA mission success at multiple locations around the world. Venturi, LLC, a, Chenega company, has an exciting career opportunity for an Aegis Weapon System Systems Engineer who will play an important role supporting Missile Defense Agency on the TEAMS Next Missile Defense Systems Engineering contract. This individual will be part a talented and mission oriented professional team of federal engineers, active-duty Naval Officers, and Contract staff who are willing to roll up their sleeves and get missile defense capability out to the Fleet. You will also be part of a team of some of the best and brightest Engineers and scientists our country has to offer. You’ll be surrounded by teammates who are part of Dominating the All-Domain Battlespace. The Engineers on our team are not limited to the status quo. Our team is always looking for better ways to do things— BIG things, little things, anything, and everything. We always ask the question, “How can we improve this?”
Work you’ll do
As an Aegis Weapon System Systems Engineer within our TEAMS Next Missile Defense Systems Engineering team, you will:
Support MDA Defense of Guam program office in the integration of a developmental architecture into the Aegis Weapons System
Streamline the integration process to support schedule, cost, risk reduction
Provide support for requirement verification through onsite test observation and inspection under the purview of MDA
Provide Data management and Configuration Management
Provide technical support by reviewing changes and participating in Working Groups as neede
Provide integration and validation support of mechanical, electrical, and integrated systems Program Management support for program lifecycle cost, program planning, schedule, and risk management
Support all elements of the systems engineering V
US Citizenship with Active Secret Clearance
Bachelor’s Degree STEM
7+ years of experience
Works Independently, as a team member, or leading teams/tasks
Ability to apply Engineering rigor to solve engineering/scientific problems
Familiarity with Aegis Weapon Systems
This position requires travel. Per a directive from our customer, the individual hired for this position must be vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus and must show evidence of vaccination upon hire.
Active TS/SCI Clearance
Prior experience with Aegis Weapons Systems Experience with Missile Systems Engineering
Technical experience in one of the following areas: Fleet operations, systems engineering, missile systems, Aegis Qualifications, etc.
