FLSA Status: Exempt, Full Time, Regular

Summary:

As an Associate Strategist , you will play a vital role in the success of the customer's efforts to improve their strategic communications goals. You will work closely with customers to discover, develop, and recommend the most effective communication vehicle and project requirements. You have the ability to understand and transform technical content into manageable and understandable language which will be used to create visual, marketing, and strategic communications. The Associate Strategist will provide strategic direction to the team of creatives designers, writers, and strategists throughout the project’s lifecycle.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Gather, refine, and transform client communications goals into actionable projects.

  • Implement agreed upon strategies that meet the customers' needs.

  • Build and manage customer relationships and serve as the primary point of contact to ensure successful service execution.

  • Research, write, and refine a variety of communications to align with customer’s overarching communication goals.

  • Maintain situational awareness of project status and resourcing throughout the project lifecycle and inform the team of resourcing, scheduling, or delivery concerns, as needed.

  • Facilitate communication and gather requirements from customers and facilitate completion of projects.

  • Facilitate resourcing requirements to ensure customer deadlines are met.

  • May mentor and train more junior staff

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of related experience OR Master’s degree and 3 years of related experience

  • Active TS/SCI w/ FS Polygraph clearance

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Operations and Strategic Planning, Design/Facilitation of Professional Development Programs, Intelligence Analysis and Reporting, Project Management, Federal Contracting

  • Skilled in Strategic Communications, Marketing, Capabilities and Requirements Analysis, Research and Writing, Delivering Communications and Visualization Focused Products

  • Ability to work within creative culture

  • Ability to maintain poise under pressure

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects at once

  • Self-starter, ability to operate with limited direction

  • Ability to work well within a team environment

  • Teachable, desire to learn and grow

  • Excellent written/verbal/presentation skills

  • Excellent research skills

  • The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.

  • During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
