Chenega Corporation Shuttle Bus Driver in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Summary

This position has an hourly pay range of $20.00 to $22.00 plus benefits.

Venturi, LLC, a Chenega company, seeks a full-time Shuttle Bus Driver who will perform pick-ups and drop-offs of passengers and their possessions at Schriever SFB, CO.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe trips to and from the secure area and other buildings at the Space Force Base.

  • Assemble or install equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting.

  • Perform simple or routine tasks or tests, like operating and adjusting simple test equipment, operating vehicles, handling equipment, and maintaining various records.

  • Gather and maintain specified records of engineering data, like tests, drawings, inventory records, and maintenance records, etc.

  • Perform computations by substituting numbers in specified formulas, plotting data, and draw simple curves and graphs.

  • Conduct maintenance operations.

  • Function independently to resolve problems, advising staff members to meet established objectives.

  • Perform maintenance and other logistics functions on fielded systems.

  • Maintain inventory, prepares order quantities, and tracks resupply activities.

  • Perform fleet planning, operation, and maintenance.

  • Prepare materials for shipping.

  • Operate test and diagnostic equipment.

  • Operate handling equipment.

  • Operate/drive various vehicles.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED required

  • Valid driver’s license

  • CDL required

  • Public Trust/NACI required

  • The position requires a COVID vaccination or an approved accommodation/exemption for a disability/medical condition or religious belief.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to professionally greet passengers.

  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to conscientiously follow written and verbal instruction.

  • Proper use of standard hand tools and material handling equipment.

  • Operation of heavy equipment, including trucks and fork lifts for general material handling.

  • Ability to maintain a driver’s license.

  • Ability to lift boxes, packages, and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds using proper equipment and lifting techniques.

  • Physically fit with full use of arms, legs, and back.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain required training and certifications.

  • Ability to use computers to search for and generate information using Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
