NJVC is glad to be supporting the Foundation Sustainment Services (FS2) contract that will establish the acquisition framework for delivering the full scope of information technology services and capabilities to support the Information Technology (IT) sustainment services for the Foundation GEOINT Integrated Program Office (IPF) and the FG capabilities/services in support of the NGA’s Source Operations & Management Directorate’s Foundation GEOINT Group (SF).

The NJVC Spatial Solutions Division has an opening for an experienced Test Engineer to provide Agile DevOps support to mission-critical systems. As a Test Engineer in this program, you will have the opportunity to perform software development to implement scripts and evaluate test results and feedback loops in a Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery Pipeline.

Responsibilities

As a Test Engineer within our Foundation Sustainment Services ( FS2 ) team, you will:

  • Manage the completion of initiatives or projects or processes spanning multiple technical areas.

  • Report concerns and technical solutions with internal team members and management

  • May brief parties external to the organization (e.g., sub-contractors, vendors, etc.).

  • Work to influence project/team leaders regarding solution design, process, and/or approaches.

  • Develop solutions to complex technical issues and problems that impact multiple areas or disciplines.

  • Participate in program Agile software development initiatives, including standup, planning, and increment planning to support innovation and enhancement of custom applications through iteration/functionality testing.

  • Lead and collaborate with team members across the program to assess tickets to ensure proper testing and delivery of functionality per User Story Acceptance Criteria.

  • Collaborate with team members (Scrum Master, Product Owner, Software Developers) to develop test approaches with emphasis on automation of recurring and regression test cases through selected toolsets.

  • Develop test validation scripts using program-designated languages (ex: Python, Java).

  • Develop automated test cases for continued product release quality.

  • Leverage DevOps practices to ensure repeatability and Configuration Management of test cases/scripts are maintained the continuously improved using a task management system (JIRA/Confluence).

  • Perform job duties within commercial cloud development environments.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent and 12+ years of prior relevant experience

  • BS and 8+ years of prior relevant experience OR

  • Master’s degree and 6+ years of prior relevant experience

  • Significant experience with scripting languages (ex: Python) to automate tasks

  • Significant experience in test data/script development

  • Significant experience working/testing within Commercial Cloud Platforms (ex: AWS) and DevOps tools

  • Significant experience working in a SAFe Agile and DevOps development environment and tempo

  • Active Security+ certification

  • Active Top Secret clearance

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

  • SAFe Agile certification is desired.

  • 2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master is desired.

  • Certified Product Owner is desired.

  • Certified Scrum Master is desired.

  • Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting.

  • Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment.

  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals.

  • Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.

  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications

  • Experience working in a home office setting as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.

  • Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone with good phone skills and a professional demeanor.

  • Previous customer service experience strongly desired.

  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it.
