Chenega Corporation Application Engineer - Mid in Boston, Massachusetts


NJVC is seeking an Application Engineer - Mid to be responsible for working with business users and other stakeholders to understand business processes, gather and document project requirements, and translate them into functional and non-functional specifications for application development/forms solutions.


  • Work with business users and other stakeholders to understand business processes, gather and document project requirements

  • Develop Nintex Forms using Nintex Forms 2016

  • Develop Nintex Workflows using Workflow Designer

  • Work with the development team to design and develop high performing solutions which satisfy the requirements

  • Create QA test cases/test steps to ensure quality

  • Responsible for QA testing the entire solution to ensure that it is ready for user acceptance testing

  • Work with end users to ensure user acceptance testing and a complete delivery of reporting/analysis solution

  • Perform peer review and testing on Forms and Workflows

  • Remain technically fluent with new and existing forms tools, processes, and development techniques

  • Support SharePoint Development and Testing

  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years’ experience

  • Experience working with the following:

  • Nintex Forms

  • Nintex Workflows

  • Managing SharePoint content

  • SharePoint lists, libraries, views, and workflows

  • Business workflows

  • jQuery/JavaScript/JSLink

  • Software Development principles

  • UI/UX fundamentals

  • MS Office 2013

  • Basic Internet Technology Development (HTML/CSS)

  • Background check required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to obtain public trust

  • Must be able to visit customers sites when requested

  • Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting

  • Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals

  • Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others

  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications

  • Experience working in a home office setting as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues

  • Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone with good phone skills and a professional demeanor

  • Previous customer service experience strongly desired

  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it
