The Embedded Software Developer will provide software development in support of customer driven products and projects. The Embedded Software Developer will develop, debug, and maintain software applications and modules. Other tasks will include hardware/software interfaces and functionality, documentation of newly created software with detailed technical specifications and create user manuals, as well as maintaining configuration control, problem reports and resolution tracking.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop software, firmware, and hardware to test embedded systems covering all aspects of functionality and performance.
Setup and operate test environments including software and hardware tools, laboratory instrumentation and simulators to perform functionality testing.
Work with development team to define acceptance criteria and test cases
Develop automated test sequences using test automation tools and scripting languages
Execute manual and automated test cases. Carefully analyze and document test results.
Providing feedback on usability, trace the result to quality risk and report it to concerned stakeholders
Work in close collaboration with engineers of other disciplines and product development teams located worldwide
Assist in troubleshooting system problems.
Drive standardized testing processes and continuously improve with the team
Architecture and requirements reviews
Peer reviews of work products derived from requirements specifications
Ensuring that the requirements are interpreted correctly
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT or Engineering
5 years experience in Software Engineering or equivalent field
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of systems or network programming
Familiarity with C# and WinForms
Knowledge of the development and execution of verification and validation procedures
Basic understanding of Software Security
